Those who know me know I love a good, pithy saying. A pithy saying is like a picture…you know, a picture says a thousand words. Ha! Isn’t that funny…that’s a recursively meta pithy saying!
On Saturday, I spent two hours trying on ski boots, and then discussing ski gear with one of my ski-gear-geek friends. In the process, learned two new sayings that I’m certain will come in handy:
Upon explaining to the salesman that my left foot is a half size longer than my right, he replied:
Your feet are not twins, they are brothers.
And, while discussing the relative merits of skis vs. boots, my ski-gear-geek friend provided this wisdom:
Marry your boots, date your skis.
On Sunday, having bought neither skis nor boots—does that mean I am a skiing bachelor?—I skied Crystal Mountain:
